In 2024, Switzerland conducted a survey on patients’ experiences in primary care practices (family medicine). The survey was initiated by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and carried out in 19 countries. The international comparison helped identify Switzerland’s strengths as well as areas for improvement. In Switzerland, more than 4,000 patients aged 45 and over participated in around 120 randomly selected primary care practices across all regions of the country. Worldwide, around 107,000 patients took part in the survey.
